In 2019  Keighley Town Council agreed to fund project work by AWC-C to provide access to longer term counselling for residents who have a range of complex needs which impact on their mental health. The council recognised a project needed longer term funding and agreed to fund the project for 3 years.  As we have no statutory grants or guaranteed income, through this award we have been able to provide approximately 182 hours of individual therapy.  Group work has been undertaken with 3 existing local organisations providing training and personal development opportunities in relation to anxiety and depression as well as communication and confidence skills.  It is only because of this funding that we have been able to reach so many people within the local community and we hope that this collaboration between the council and AWC-C, as a local community mental health service, will continue in order to benefit the most needy within our locality.

Due to the support through a grant award from The Craven Trust and from Margaret Calvert who has helped design update our leaflets we now have information that will help clients understand the work we undertake.  Please contact the office for details
